Top Three Favourites: 29 November

Each week Twenty Something London send us the best independent events going on in the capital.
Each week Twenty Something London pick their three favourite things to do in the capital. Art galleries, theatre shows and drinking doodle bars.

Psychedelic Art Exhibition at Raven Row

TSL2

Art Gallery, Liverpool Street
This independent gallery, just behind Spitalfields market, has a penchant for exceptional contemporary artists, and is holding a free exhibition till 15th December, titled 'Reflections from Damaged Life'. Looking at the ins-and-outs of psychedelia, the show displays work from across the globe providing the perfect escape for nearby city folk wanting to shake up routine lunch breaks, or anyone in the area in need of tranquil art trips.

Phoenix

TSL1

Theatre, Hackney Downs Studios
Fancy some theatre in the run up to Christmas? If yes, Phoenix, which enormously captivated the audience of their previous sell-out, is back by popular demand courtesy of Big House Theatre. Following the experience of a sixteen year old girl as she finds her way, the show draws on real life experiences from the self-taught individuals who've written, directed and acted in this shocking and humbling performance.

Doodle Bar

TSL3

Restaurant/Bar, South Kensington
Aside from the neon sign saying 'BAR' above what looks like a factory entrance there's Doodle Bar, a hidden creative hub in Battersea has become a permanent feature to the area. This is the space where people have freedom to enjoy a good scribble, have a drink and hook up with some fellow doodlers. And, on the very first day of December, the guys from The Bloody Oyster will be taking over the space for an idle Sunday afternoon of signature half shell oysters, Bloody Marys and the Bar's finest cocktails.
