Review: Bodo's Schloss
The alpine escape has just launched their new menu in time for those looking for some après ski fun this summer.
Modelled on an authentic Austrian farmhouse, the restaurants head chef, Jordan Sempler (The Lanesborough, 1 Lombard Street) has created a menu that features all the classic dishes plus some lighter options for the summer months.
As well as the traditional Chicken or Veal Wiener Schnitzel, House Dumplings with Nurenberger Sausages and Sauerkraut, or Lamb Goulash, guest can now enjoy; Crab, Orange and Shaved Fennel Salad with Toasted Sesame Seeds and a Green Herb Dressing and Asparagus, Pea and Marcarpone Risotto with Basil and Aged Parmesan and Wild Cornish Seabass.
Trying a bit of everything the new menu has to offer, it's fair to say that you will definitely find something to love (I loved a large majority of the menu!) on the new menu.
Of course, no matter how much you've eaten, there is always room for dessert. And with Apple Strudel, Dark Chocolate Fondant and Sachertorte on offer, well lets just say I made the effort to try all three.
As summer is the perfect month for picnics (fingers crossed the sun hasn't come and gone already!), the restaurant now offers picnic hampers giving you the option to enjoy your dishes alfresco.
So if you want all the fun of après ski without the flight and snow, head to Kensington.
