THE AUTHORS

DAISY WAUGH

Daisy writes a monthly column for Standpoint magazine. She has worked as an agony aunt and a restaurant critic, and has written a weekly column from Los Angeles about her attempts to become a Hollywood scriptwriter. Her second novel, set in early Hollywood and dubbed ‘a gripping, bittersweet love story’ by The Sunday Times, is not to be missed. Daisy will be speaking to us about her book, Melting The Snow On Hester Street.

KATHLEEN TESSARO

Kathleen Tessaro is the internationally acclaimed author of five novels including Innocence, The Debutante and the Sunday Times Bestseller, Elegance. Her latest book, The Perfume Collector, is set in Paris during 1955, New York of the 1920's and the heady decadence of Monte Carlo in the 1930's, exploring the evocative world of perfume, the obsessive nature of creation and the extraordinary women who inspired great fragrances. Hailed as a "mesmerizing tale of passion and scent," and a "bewitching, compelling novel full of dark desires," The Perfume Collector marks Tessaro's move into historical fiction. She joins us to discuss her work, as well the powerful connection between perfume and memory.

NICCI FRENCH

Nicci French is the pseudonym of the writing partnership of journalists Nicci Gerrard and Sean French. The Lady is delighted to welcome these popular authors, who have a huge dedicated readership. Having sold more than 1.25 million copies of their 13 novels in the UK, and eight million copies worldwide, they will be talking to us about their third novel in the bestselling Frieda Klein series, Waiting For Wednesday.
