If you’re looking for ways to make the most of your summer in 2023, look no further than the Marlborough College Summer School.
In July and August Marlborough College will hold what promises to be its most exciting summer school yet. There is a vast array of courses and activities for adults and children, all accompanied by fantastic entertainment and superb food and drink in the magnificent surroundings of Marlborough College. It is a wonderful chance to discover, create and celebrate.
Adult courses range from Painting like Monet to astrophotography; picture framing to Japanese cooking, and fly fishing to Greek in a Week. In all, the summer school offers more than 400 ways to learn something new or brush up a skill that has gone a bit rusty.
There is also a fantastic programme of classes and activities for three- to 17-year-olds, including a watersports activity week, drone-coding, horseriding, and an exclusive Aston Villa Academy training camp.
You can attend the summer school as a day student or make the experience truly immersive and stay throughout your course. The college offers flexible accommodation options to cater for individuals, families or groups of friends.
Marlborough College Summer School is also a celebration. You will enjoy the finest food and drink prepared by our talented chefs and bar team, and a programme of exciting entertainment, from music recitals to theatre, comedy and gala nights in the stunning Memorial Hall.
This year celebrity guests include Judge Rob Rinder and Countryfile’s Adam Henson. There will also be performances by the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, the Treorchy Male Choir and the fantastic Abba tribute band, Revival, among many others.
As one regular guest explains: ‘The summer school is a wonderful holiday to enjoy on your own or with a friend, made all the better by the wide range of ages present, from children to 90-year-olds, who are obviously enjoying themselves.’
