Average Female Only Wears a Quarter of the Shoes She Owns
Shoes being “too uncomfortable” led the list of excuses for 64% of women.
The study, conducted by www.VoucherCodesPro.co.uk, polled 2,352 women aged 18 and over from across the UK, in a bid to gain a more thorough insight into the spending habits of women when it came to footwear.
The poll revealed that the average British woman owns 20 pairs of shoes - spending an average of £24 per pair.
The average woman's entire shoe collection is worth £490 - but only 5 pairs are regularly worn. And 86% of the women polled had at least one pair of shoes that they had never worn.
Top five reasons we are not wearing our shoes
1. Too uncomfortable (too tight on feet/too high heels) (64%)
2. Hard to match with an outfit (55%)
3. Scared to damage/were very expensive (41%)
4. Were given as a gift and don't like them (37%)
5. Didn't like them as much when I got them home (21%) T
