Recipe: Spring Tipples

It's that time of year again. The flowers begin to bloom, the days are longer and drinking al fresco is suddenly back in vogue. Vijay's East India Company

  • 50ml Hendricks
  • 10ml Fernet branca
  • 25ml lemon
  • 25ml rosemary and rose syrup
  • 25ml egg white

Blade - Earl Grey Mar-Tea-Ni

  • Infuse Nikka Coffey gin with Teapigs Darjeeling Earl Grey for 24 hours
  • Add De Kuyper Triple Sec, fresh lemon & agave nectar topped off with Abbots and orange bitters
  • Garnish with edible mandarin crisps and star anise for an added citrus sweetness

Honeydew Cocktail from Sopwell House

  • 40ml Midori
  • 15ml Fresh Lime Juice 
  • 20ml Apple Juice 
  • Garnish: Edible flower 

Prepare a martini glass with ice. Add the Midori, fresh lime juice and apple juice to a cocktail shaker and combine. Pour into the prepared glass, garnish with an edible flower and enjoy. 

The Smoky Bloody Mary @ Hyde Bar

  • 60ml Ardbeg Scotch Whisky
  • 90ml British Tomato Juice (or homemade tomato juice if you have leftover tomatoes at home!)
  • 10ml brown rice vinegar
  • 1tbsp brown rice miso paste
  • 1 pinch of smoked sea salt
  • 1 pinch of black pepper
  • 3 dashes of Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 dashes of Tabasco sauce
  • Handful of dried seaweed

Add all of the ingredients into a tumbler. Stir together with ice. Strain the mixture into an ice-filled highball glass. Lightly wet the rim of the glass and add a sea salt and seaweed rim. Garnish the drink with strips of dried seaweed. Enjoy!

St~Germain Spritz

  • St~Germain – 45ml
  • Martini prosecco or any dry prosecco (cold) – 60ml
  • Topped with sparkling water 
  • Lemon garnish

Built over ice in a cool glass.
