10 ways to look younger

Tips and tricks to for achieving a youthful glow
1 PILLOW PRESSURE
Burying your face in a pillow puts pressure on your skin, which reduces circulation.Over time, the wear and tear this causes will break down collagen and cause lines and wrinkles. Switch to silk, satin or a high thread count cotton to minimize the friction on facial skin.

2 COLD SPOON COMPRESS
For a quick fix for puffy eyes, keep two metal teaspoons in the fridge. Place the metal on the swollen area and gently press for at least 60 seconds to reduce any puffiness.

3 REDUCE WATER RETENTION
Water retention contributes to the appearance of cellulite, but don’t choose commercial diuretics as they can leach potassium from the body, contributing to osteoporosis. Natural diuretics are dandelion, nettle, astragalus, juniper, parsley and vitamin B6, but the best method is to radically reduce your intake of salt and increase your intake of water.

4 HOT HONEY HAIR
Give your hair and scalp a treat with an organic honey and olive oil conditioner. Mix equal parts together and warm in the microwave, then apply to clean, toweldried hair, and wrap in a warm towel for 20  minutes. This will leave hair smooth and ultra-soft and shiny.

5 BRIGHT EYES
For tired eyes that need an instant  wake-up call, dot small circles of liquid foundation under the eye, and up over the eyelid. Blend in very gently with a brush or your little finger to conceal any dark lines, then line the lower lid with a  white pencil. The effect is instantly brighter eyes.

6 STRAWBERRIES AND GLEAM
An inexpensive way to brighten teeth is to mash up a couple of strawberries and turn them into a paste  to use as normal with a toothbrush. The malic acid in the fruit will help lighten your teeth – but always  brush with a fluoride toothpaste immediately afterwards.

7 UPLIFT YOUR LOOK
One of the narrowest areas on a woman’s body is across the ribs, just beneath the bustline, yet sagging  breasts can conceal this area and make your figure look dumpier and more middleaged than it really is.  Choosing a wellfitted bra with good uplift will help make the line from rib to hip appear more elongated and shapely.

8 SHOW OFF AN ATTRACTIVE BACK
Instead of choosing to show a crepey cleavage, find a dress with a high slash neck that has a low  sweep or V-neck at the back. Skin on the back has usually had far less exposure than that on the
front and doesn’t age nearly as much.

9 EAT UP OR LOSE THE PLOT
If you exist on a highly restricted calorie diet, you run the risk of losing competent brain function. Low levels of magnesium, B vitamins and fatty acids are essential for hormone production and brain function.
Without them you can lose the ability to think rationally.

10 WATCH A WEEPY
Research has shown that it’s good to have a good cry now and again. Tears appear to reduce tension, remove toxins and increase the body’s ability to heal itself. After an outburst of tears, the body is flooded with oxygen, which triggers the release of feel-good hormones in the brain.
