It is high in omega 3, 6 and 9, which help the body to function normally. Plant sterols, which are thought to help lower cholesterol, are also found in the oil. As well as being a natural antioxidant it is a rich source of vitamin E, which helps maintain cell structure by protecting cell membranes and fending off damaging free radicals.
It has a high smoke point, making it a perfect, healthy alternative for deep-frying and roasting. And best of all, it’s grown here in Britain.
