A member of the sun ower family, chamomile has many health bene ts thanks to the presence of active substances such as bisabolol (relaxes muscles), chamazulene (antiallergenic),  avonoids (antibacterial) and coumarin (natural blood thinner).

Whether you take it as a supplement or use the dried  owers to make tea, chamomile eases abdominal pain, digestive problems and aids sleep. It is an antiin  ammatory and can relieve the symptoms of rheumatism and arthritis. It also relieves sore throats, colds and allergies. Soaking chamomile tea bags in warm water, then placing them over your eyes, reduces dark circles. The production of white blood cells can be boosted by chamomile, which strengthens the immune system and fights o…ff colds.

Avoid chamomile during pregnancy. If you are allergic to plants such as daisies or marigolds, use it with caution.
