FIRST IMPRESSIONS: JOCELYN BROWN
We're working on rehearsals for the Butlins tour and for my new album which will hopefully comes out September/October time
When were you at your happiest?
I was at my happiest when my daughter was born.
What is your greatest fear?
Losing my voice in the middle of a song
What is your earliest memory?
I had to be about 3 years old and my cousin and I were in the back yard in North Carolina and I saw a bug and my cousin walked outside and saw it was a garden snake...not a bug.
Who has been your greatest influence?
My mother.
What do you most dislike about your appearance?
My tummy
What is your most treasured possession?
My children. I have 4 children
What trait do you most deplore in others?
Falseness and lying
Do you have a fantasy address?
A great big old houses somewhere in London
What do you most dislike about yourself?
I'm too easy going
What is your favourite book?
The Game of Life. It tells the truth about how you can handle your situation without being false
What is your favourite film?
The Colour Purple. Because it's set in North Carolina where I'm from
What is your favourite record or piece of music?
You really getting me good here. Tania Maria January, she is a Brazilian performer, name of her song is called Don't Go. It's such a wonderful, wonderful groove, such a bad groove and she's so good at what she does.
What is your favourite meal?
Fried chicken and chocolate cake.
Who would you most like to come to dinner?
Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell and Elton John. I love him. It would be great.
Which historical do you most admire?
Martin Luther King
What is the nastiest thing anyone has ever said to you?
Someone told me that I needed to lose weight.
Do you believe in aliens?
Yes
What is your secret vice?
Coming home, putting my pyjamas on and having a hot drink and watch TV

Yes I do

"Girl please."
What single thing would improve the quality of your life?
More money
What would you like your epitaph to say?
"She was wonderful, a lot of fun and could sing her butt off."
