What does the concept of fair trade mean to you? We are all familiar with the delicious coffee, chocolate and other products which bear the Fairtrade logo, but do we dwell on the principles behind the pretty graphic?
In simple terms, Fairtrade works to ensure that the conditions for the production and trade of a product are socially and economically fair and environmentally responsible. With these high standards in mind, it has also become synonymous with products of quality.
Fairtrade Fortnight runs from 25 February to 10 March 2013. You can show your support, not only by eating scrummy Fairtrade food, but by making sure your beauty bounty is Fairtrade too.
