Christmas Magic!
A couple of weeks prior to our planned visit the children received an invite through the post from Santa asking them to help him finishing making some toys for Christmas... and the magic started then.
When you arrive at LaplandUK there are lots of elves around to amuse and guide you. First stop is their workshop where each child 'assembles' a stuffed husky dog, next is a visit to Mother Christmas's kitchen where the children help decorate cookies and she reads the children a short story.
The following hour is spent in the 'village' where the children can ice skate, pet the huskies and have hot drinks and food in the warm and inviting barn, and there is also a post office where the children can write to Father Christmas.
Next is the big moment, when an elf calls out your children's names and he leads your family down winding, snowy paths to a log cabin. He tells the children to knock very loudly as Father Christmas might be having a nap and then (this is just wonderful) Father Christmas calls out for us to go in... And there he is, the big man himself!
We were invited to sit beside him and he talks to Mia about her dancing and singing that she loves, and Holly about her jigsaws, puzzles and pets.... This was very emotional for me as Mia was born just 2 months after I had finished chemo and radiotherapy for breast cancer, and 10 days before my 50th birthday, so every day is a bonus!
Mia and Holly were thrilled to have met the real Father Christmas, and the whole day was so wonderful and thrilling. It was totally magical and too brilliant for words. Our girls and we will never forget our magical day!
